Mr. Syed Rashed Hussain is an Investment Banking professional with cross-functional and cross-departmental expertise in Issue Management, Structured Finance, Debt, Quasi-Debt & Equity Financing, Corporate Advisory, Fund Management, Wealth Management, Merchant Banking Operations, Research Analysis, Administration, Marketing, Sustainability and Corporate Communications.

Rashed joined BRAC EPL Investments Limited in 2011 as an Executive in the Marketing Department and over the last 14 years has shifted across multiple departments gaining on the ground experience across all the business units and support functions of the Company. He has been serving in his current role as the Chief Executive Officer of the company since January1, 2021.He possesses an exceptional ability to learn and adapt to changes and to undertake new roles, challenges and responsibilities with a track record of taking initiative, personal responsibility, ownership of work and building a reputation for removing obstacles and making things happen.

Rashed completed his Baccalaureate from Monash University (Australia) and he has done a course on Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge. He completed his O and A'Levels from Mastermind School. He is a keen football enthusiast and an avid fan of AS Roma.

Md. Abdullah Abu Syade joined BRAC EPL Investments Limited on July 3, 2025, as the Head of Strategy and Investment. He is a seasoned capital market professional with over 15 years of extensive leadership experience in business operations, planning and strategy, corporate sales, research, and investment portfolio management.

Prior to joining BEIL, he served as Vice President and Head of Corporate at CAL Securities Limited. His career also includes key leadership roles at Dhaka Bank Securities Limited, where he worked as Assistant Vice President, and at ONE Securities Limited, where he played a pivotal role in driving various strategic and operational initiatives. He began his career as a Management Trainee Officer at Dhaka Bank Limited.

His major accomplishments include the formation of Dhaka Bank Investment Limited, leading the conversion of ONE Securities Limited into a public limited company, and contributing to the development of important policies on investment, margin trading, and foreign investment guidelines.

Mr. Syade holds both BBA and MBA degrees in Finance from the University of Dhaka. His passion for knowledge sharing has led him to serve as a guest lecturer at the Department of Banking & Insurance, University of Dhaka.

Anup Datta has over 10 years’ experience in investment banking in Bangladesh with specialization in Syndications, M&A, Private Equity and Corporate Advisory. He started his career at DESCO and soon moved into investment banking in RSA Capital Limited. Since then, he has worked in transactions worth over USD 1 billion involving structured finance and investment banking activities, working with both local and foreign entities.

Anup Datta has structured his own career with professionalism, out of the box thinking and learn-it-all attitude. Through this and his plethora of experience in the industry, he has developed an extensive insight into the local financial and regulatory environment.

Mr. Datta completed his BBA and MBA from Department of Finance, University of Dhaka.

Ashraf Ali is working as Head of Portfolio Management of BRAC EPL Investments Limited. He has more than 15 years of experience in Capital Market. He joined BRAC EPL Investments Limited in 2010. Mr. Ali has more than BDT 2.5 Billion Asset Under Management. Prior to joining in BEIL, he worked for SCL Securities Limited. Mr. Ali completed his Graduation from National University. His vast expertise in the capital market has helped BRAC EPL Investments Limited going forward in delivering superior customer experience. 

Zahid Kabir leads the Finance and Accounts division at BRAC EPL Investments Limited, where he has been instrumental in driving financial transparency, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance since 2023. With over 12 years of experience across the investment, capital market, manufacturing, and service sectors, he brings a strong track record in financial reporting, planning and analysis, budgeting, audit governance, and financial risk management.

Known for his solution-oriented mindset, Zahid actively contributes to improving internal processes and is a vocal advocate for driving change and enhancing organizational efficiency beyond the finance function.

He began his career at Rahman Rahman Huq (KPMG Bangladesh), gaining extensive audit and assurance experience across diverse industries and functional areas. He later held leadership roles in multiple subsidiaries of Shanta Holdings Limited and Abdul Monem Group, where he contributed to financial transformation and operational improvements.

Zahid is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. His approach combines financial discipline with strategic insight to support sustainable business growth and informed decision-making. 

Afzal Ahmad has been working in BRAC EPL Investments Limited as Acting Head of Operations since November 2020. He has more than 10 (ten) years’ experience in Settlement, Billing and Accounts of Merchant bank. He started his career with BRAC EPL Investments Limited in 2011. He obtained BSS and MSS major in Economics from National University. He has participated in numerous seminars and training programs related to the capital market and BSEC and CDBL rules and regulations.

Ms. Samira Nasrin is a seasoned investment banking professional with over 13 years exposure in the capital market. Prior to joining BRAC EPL Investments Ltd, she headed the compliance department of a leading merchant bank, managing all regulatory matters. Besides, the compliance management, she had the exposure to work as portfolio manager and managed over BDT 100 crore portfolio for the previous organization. She worked as a Portfolio Manager, at Prime Bank Investment Ltd. where she was responsible for the compliance monitoring of over 3000 clients with a total asset value of BDT 500 crore (approx.).  She has got her expertise in regulatory compliances, risk management and managing capital market instruments. Ms. Nasrin has attended many workshops and seminars organized by Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Bangladesh Bank (BB) over the years.

Ms. Nasrin has completed her BBA and MBA Majoring in Finance and Accounting from North South University. Recently to pursue her interest in development finance, she completed MDS from BRAC University.

Shah Rakib Khan, CFA, is a seasoned investment banker with extensive experience in capital markets, corporate advisory, and wealth management. As the Head of the Primary Market at BRAC EPL Investments Limited, he leads initiatives in equity capital raising, financial structuring, and regulatory compliance, driving innovative financial solutions for clients across industries.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Khan served as Senior Assistant Vice President in the Investment Banking Department and earlier as Deputy Manager and Head of Gulshan Branch in the Portfolio Management Department of BRAC EPL Investments Limited. His career foundation includes leadership positions in IDLC Securities Limited and Mercantile Bank Securities Limited, where he honed his expertise in market research, trading, and business development.

A CFA Charterholder and an active member of the CFA Society Bangladesh since 2019, Mr. Khan combines analytical rigor with strong managerial acumen. His educational background includes an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Finance & Accounting from the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), both achieved with distinction.

Ms. Sabina Yeasmin currently working as In Charge of Human Resources Department (HRD) since January 2021. She started her career with Banglalink (Orascom Telecom Bangladesh Limited) as Officer, Customer Service Department. Sabina joined BRAC EPL Investments Limited in 2010 as Executive, CEO’s office and over a year has shifted to Administration department, where she gathered more than 10 years’ experience in the area of Facility administration. She also possesses notable experience while dealing with Corporate Affairs related issues of the organization.

She acquired her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from DIU.
