1. What is Progoti (SIP)?
Progoti (SIP – Systematic Investment Plan) is a monthly investment plan offered by BRAC EPL Investments Limited’s wealth management department, designed to help you achieve your financial goals through disciplined and regular investments. You will deposit a fixed amount on a fixed date of a month, which will be invested as per your investment strategy by our expert wealth managers.
2. What are the investment strategies available under Progoti?
Progoti offers three main investment strategies: Equity Focus, Debt Focus, and Balanced Strategy. Both Equity and Balanced Focus strategy also has Aggressive, Moderate, and Defensive options based on your risk profile.
3. What is the minimum investment amount for Progoti?
The minimum monthly investment for the Fixed Income Strategy is BDT 10,000 (and in multiples of BDT 1,000 thereafter). For Equity Focus and Balanced Strategies, the minimum monthly investment is BDT 5,000 (and in multiples of BDT 1,000 thereafter). You can also invest any other amount in addition to your fixed monthly payments.
4. When can I make my monthly SIP installment?
You can choose one of three dates for your monthly installment: the 8th, 17th, or 28th of each month.
5. How can I pay for my monthly installments?
You can pay for your monthly installments in two ways:
Auto Debit Instruction: By setting up an Auto Debit Mandate while opening your Progoti account.
Direct Deposit: By making a direct deposit or online transfer to BEIL's designated bank account, ensuring your SIP account number is mentioned in the remarks. After the deposit you should email the deposit slip (for physical deposit) or confirmation email (for online transfer) to wmd@bracepl.com mentioning your account number in the subject.
6. What is "Price Averaging" and how does Progoti help with it?
Price averaging is an investment strategy where you invest a fixed amount of money at regular intervals. When prices are low, your fixed investment buys more units, and when prices are high, it buys fewer units. Over time, this helps average out your purchase price, reducing the overall average cost of your investment and mitigating the risk of investing a large sum at an unfavorable market peak. Progoti SIP inherently helps you achieve price averaging through its regular, fixed monthly investments. Let say you invest BDT 5000 per month.
